And Bites of delicious food I have enjoyed (I love Japanese food). Today I like to share an analogy of why immune system disorders such as allergies are so difficult to treat.
Malfunctioning immune cells can go out of control and cause serious auto-immune diseases. The analogy is like water in a glass, which represents those malfunctioning immune cells (water) in the human body (glass).
> For healthy people, the glass is probably filled with 10% of water. It doesn't cause any problem.
> Allergens (people who pour water into the glass) are the ones which trigger allergy reactions. When they pour water in but the level is only up to 40%, it still won't trigger any problem.
> But for someone whose water level is already 90%, by adding a bit more, it is very easy to overflow right? That's when uncomfortable symptoms start to appear eg. itchiness, swelling, runny nose, rashes etc.
This is where Lingzhi can help. It helps to remove the water-pourer and empty the water from the glass. Perhaps Lingzhi can only empty out 50% of the water, but it's good enough to prevent overflow. It is not a cure but the water level is reduced and with this better management, it will reduce the occurrences of allergies and speed up recovery.
During the process of emptying water from the glass, there will be discomforts. But this is necessary and you have to let that happen. How long does it take to empty the water depends on how full is the glass. However, you will eventually have a better quality of life, as the allergens are under control when it's managed well. Before it manifests and goes out of control, Lingzhi is able to press it down already.
