If you constantly skip breakfast, you may end up having less energy, lower concentration, higher mood swings and be more grouchy and irritable. What an awful way to start your day right?

Eating breakfast is one of the secrets to staying healthy. Recent studies have shown that a healthy breakfast contributes towards reducing risk factors for heart disease and diabetes, in relation to cholesterol and blood insulin levels. It will also energise your body for the day and increase your body's metabolism. This helps you burn more calories and therefore manage your weight.

Here are 5 Reasons why people skip breakfast, and Suggestions how to get over that.

1. I have no time for breakfast.
Suggestion: Eat on the go. Stock up on "portable" meals, or pick something up on the way and eat while driving.

2. I am constantly late for work.
Suggestion: Go to bed earlier so you can wake up earlier. You would have extra bit of time for breakfast and more importantly, start your day on a more relaxed note.

3. I am on a diet.
Suggestion: Recent study found that "fasting made people hungrier and increased the appeal of high calorie foods...". So skipping breakfast may sabotage your weight loss goals as it makes you more prone to binging and snacking on unhealthy stuff later. Make sure you eat a wholesome breakfast that will fill you up and give you the necessary nutrients.

4. I don't feel like eating or drinking early in the morning. 
My stomach is not used to it.
Suggestion: This is probably based on psychological and emotional reasons. But after having fast for the past 8 hours or so, you need to refuel to give your body and brain the energy it needs for the day.

5. I don't feel like cooking or preparing anything in the morning.
Suggestion: Buy from the shop, or find an easier way to prepare.

A 3-Minute Breakfast

Here is a simple 3-Step recipe for a breakfast that can be taken at home or after you reach office:

Step 1
1 tupperware of 300-400 ml room temperature water
1 sachet Jia Hor Fibre
2 sachets Jia Hor Soya Protein
1 sachet Vitaking collagen
2 sachets Yung Kien Bee Pollen

Step 2
Mix all of the above into the tupperware.
Shake thoroughly and drink immediately.

Step 3
Pour another 300-400 ml water into the tupperware.
Clear up the remnants and drink.

That's what I have for my breakfast everyday.
It tastes so good.
I get sufficient water to start my day.
I get a complete mix of all the natural and wholesome nutrients.
Not only does it fill me up all the way to lunch, it also gives me radiant glowing complexion and keeps my weight down.
