Dr. Hiroshi Kawai from Kinki University reported that taking Lingzhi/Ganoderma together with chemotherapy may have significant results for patients who have had surgery for breast cancer, colon cancer and gastric cancer. Below are some of the findings.
The experimental subjects were patients who were treated improperly after surgery, and patients who were suffering from the side effects of chemotherapy.
1) After a mastectomy (surgical removal of one or both breasts), one patient's face turned "gloomy". After taking Lingzhi for 2 months, her facial complexion improved.
2) Another patient's limbs became paralyzed and swollen after a mastectomy. After consuming Lingzhi for 1 month, the numbness significantly improved.
3) Some patients used Lingzhi together with some herbal medicines for 10 days after a colostomy (an opening from the colon to provide alternative channel for feces to leave the body). Night sweats disappeared and appetites improved.
4) Some patients who had gastric cancer operation lost their appetites. When 6 capsules of Lingzhi were taken each day, their appetites improved.
In view of the above results, we can see that Lingzhi taken with chemotherapy can be a valuable auxiliary treatment. Side effects of chemotherapy can be reduced.
