Taking care of your health every day when you are still healthy is the best way to maintain good health. When you are not sick, you don't need to spend a lot of time and money and effort. Incorporate healthy habits into your daily life. Be mindful of those little things that can lead to long-term harm if you do them regularly (or don't do enough of every day).

A lot of what I'm going to share below are common sense or things you already know; but sometimes we need a reminder. As the Chinese saying goes, if we can Eat well, Sleep well, Eliminate well and feel Mentally well, we have a lot to be grateful for. We are healthy.

Here are 4 key areas I will touch on - Diet, Rest, Exercise and Emotion.

1. Diet

What is the best food to eat?
There is no standard diet plan for everybody.
However, you can't go wrong with seasonal food, and food which are natural, fresh and wholesome. Take in different varieties. Things we put into our mouth should fulfil the basic requirement in that we don't fall sick after eating. In fact, we should feel energetic, more alert and focused after a meal. Some food (for instance eating a big plate of fried rice or pasta for lunch) may create inertia and make us feel drowsy in the afternoon.
